The Jackson County Cultural Coalition recognizes the importance of all aspects of the arts, heritage and humanities, and seeks to promote public and private support for each.

Heritage

the full range of our inherited traditions, monuments, objects, and culture; including the contemporary activities, meanings, and behaviors that we draw from them

Art

the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, producing works to be appreciated for their emotional power and beauty

Humanities

the study of how people process and document the human experience, using philosophy, literature, religion, and language to understand and record our world
