Jackson County Cultural Coalition 2026 Grantees
The Jackson County Cultural Coalition Board awarded a total of $36,000 in grants to the following Jackson County organizations for 2026 projects and activities:
Anima Mundi $2,000
Giving Expression to Teen Artists Concerned about the Environment: Art supplies and fees required to hire professional artist Adrian Chavez as teacher and mentor.
Artnow $775
Ashlandia Procession Series: A Year of Seasonal Wonder -- transforming Ashland’s public spaces into seasonal celebrations of art, storytelling, and community joy.
Ashland Children's Theater $1,800
Winter Performance Company Production of The Tempest for older kids and related shorter productions for younger kids.
Ashland Folk Collective $1,500
Free concerts in Lithia Park, Ashland, with ADA accessibility and mindful of inclusiveness (youth, family, LGBTQ community, etc.).
Ashland High Arts $1,000
Support the MUSE Project: visiting artist stipends, marketing, and operational support for up to 3 teachers visiting classrooms.
Ashland Independent Film Fest $1,000
"Friends of the Fest": Support staff time, travel, event setup and teardown, film rental fees, panel honoraria, and space to co-present films year-round and during the annual April Festival.

Ashland Daily Tidings: Catching Up ODNP -- Digitize microfilm reels covering 1927-1929 issues of the Ashland Daily Tidings for the Oregon Digital Newspaper Program.
Crater Rock Museum $1,500
Voices of the Rogue Gallery Video: Create a 6-8 minute video about the history, legacy, and ongoing contributions of the Indigenous peoples of Southern Oregon.
Empowered Arts Ensemble $1,000
Belonging and Becoming: Provide youth stipends, meals/snacks, and transportation for a year-long theater/media project for youth to collaborate with professional artists.
Gold Hill Community Development Organization $1,000
Support children’s activities, local musicians, and a First Aid booth during the 2026 Gold Dust Day Heritage Celebration event.
Jacksonville Community Center $1,000
Family-Friendly FREE House Concerts: Cover performer fees for a minimum of eight free house concerts/performances.
Little Apple Players $2,000
Purchase equipment and software to increase capacity.
Oregon Art on a Mission $1,500
Inspire Youth Art 2026: Art classes and tool kits for youth in partnership with Rogue Valley Mentoring
Red Earth Descendants $1,300
Turtle Island Permaculture Institute Start-Up: Provide venue rental and start-up costs for workshops, teachings, and trainings to launch TIPI as a land and culture restoration project.
Rogue Gallery $1,000
Support summer art camps at the Rogue Gallery & Art Center.
Rogue Theater $750
Support the 2026 production of Stella and Lou, March 11-29, 2026.
Rogue Valley Genealogical Society $1,800
Historical Quilt Book Publication Project: Self-publish a book preserving the history and stories behind locally made quilts.
Rogue Valley Mentoring $1,500
Support the new Youth Summit, which brings together local youth in a two-day event in April 2026.
Rogue Valley Wind Ensemble (Rogue Valley Symphonic Band) $1,000
Help pay the expenses of concerts at Oakdale Middle School for students playing with professional and semi-professional musicians.
Southern Oregon PBS $1,000
Support video shooting, editing, and writing of a 2-minute interstitial segment on a featured artist in Jackson County.
Southern Oregon Education Service District $1,000
Help purchase a Yamaha acoustic upright piano for the SOESD Conference Center through the 88 Key Campaign.
Southern Oregon Historical Society $1,500
Expanded History Education Initiatives 2026: Support and expand Children’s Heritage Fair, Phase II of their History in a Handbag program, and create new Junior Historian and field trip programs.
Southern Oregon Repertory Singers $750
To the End in Songs: Support orchestration for the culminating concert of the 40th anniversary season.
Sticks and Stones Studio $2,000
Nature Art Explorations: Support art supplies, materials, instructional resources, instructor stipends, and event coordination costs.
Talent Business Alliance $1,500
Our Stories Through Art - Story Gathering: Recording, transcribing, and translating untold family histories.
Talent Historical Society $1,500
Expanding Access to Local Heritage through Drama, Music, and the Arts: Costumes, props, promotional materials, advertising, and actors’ fees for monthly dramatic productions pertaining to Talent’s History.
