We support culture in Jackson County.
It is found in a local museum or historic cemetery, at a dance performance or creative writing workshop, at a Chautauqua lecture in a local library, and at one of Oregon’s 40,000 archeological sites. It is heard in tribal language and oral histories, in Shakespearean verse, in the music of a marching band or symphony. It is seen in thousands of galleries, in native basketry, and in public art installations throughout our state. Our culture includes the arts, heritage, and humanities in all their variety.
Culture plays a crucial role in the lives of Oregonians, in our economy, and in our future.
